Skin Tag
- These are small flap of tissue that hangs off the skin by connecting stalk.
- Skin tags are harmless.
- Sharp breasts, groin, stomach, eyelids, underarms.
- These are in brown color, they may be smooth and wrinkled and ranges in size from 1 mm.
The growth commonly occur in areas where skin constantly rubs against clothing/other skin such as near your bra strap or in a fold of skin.
Another factors are
- Presence of certain forms of the human Papillion virus
- Changes the hormones during pregnancy
- Insulin resistance, which is seen in people with diabetes
- Genetics might play a role in development of skin tag
How to remove skin tag:
- Cutting them off with scissors / another sharp tool.
- Freezing them with liquid nitrogen.
- Burning them with electric currency.
- Ligation– Removing skin tag by ligating it with surgical thread in order to cut off its blood flow.
Skin Tags typically do not require medical treatment unless they are irritating to patient if removal for cosmetic reason contemplated.
